Benaki Museum was founded in 1930 and is located opposite the National Garden on Vasilissis Sofias avenue. The building is the ancestral home of Antonis Benakis, the founded of the Museum, which has been redesigned and renovated to house findings but also host other various events. The exhibits that you can see in the Museum are reminders of the country’s journey from antiquity to the catastrophe of Asia Minor. Among the exhibits you will also see 33.000 historical relics of Eleftherios Venizelos as well as old toys.
